Responsible Gaming

This page sets out how to keep gambling under control and where the controls that actually work are located, since none of them live on this site.

Boundaries

Decide the amount you're willing to spend before you start, and treat that amount as already gone the moment you begin. This removes the pressure of watching a balance and makes stopping a non-event rather than a decision made under stress. Never chase a loss: a losing session is not a signal to increase the next bet, it is simply the outcome you already agreed to accept. Keep gambling separate from borrowed money, since a loss that has to be repaid changes the nature of the activity entirely. Take breaks during a session rather than playing in one uninterrupted stretch, and if the activity stops feeling like entertainment and starts feeling necessary, tell someone else early rather than waiting for a crisis point to raise it.

Controls

Tools such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are account features that a reader sets up directly with an operator. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can switch one of those controls on, check its status or enforce it. Anyone who wants such a control has to arrange it inside an account at the destination the reader is sent to, under that destination's own rules. Likewise, nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it; any age check happens only after a reader leaves, at the destination. Every operator listing on this site repeats the eighteen-and-over restriction and closes with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms can change there without notice.

Help

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. These are the only outbound links on the whole site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them. No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is aimed at a reader who has shown signs of risky play; the analytics collected only count page views and outbound clicks.
